The Strait of Hormuz

Only peace Only kindness Are allowed to pass through here Only ships That carry no darkness Are allowed to pass through here This is the home of breezes and rainbows A sea where no hostile waves can flow I am the Strait of Hormuz I am the Strait of Hormuz A rise of wounded voices The downfall of arrogant foes The land of faithful souls The Strait of Hormuz Hormuz Hormuz I am the avenger Of the silenced laughter Of Minab’s children Ribbons without braids Backpacks without arms Shoes without feet A broken, red pencil And a half-burned page With an unfinished sentence I promise I will finish it Whatever it takes This is the home of breezes and rainbows A sea where no hostile waves can flow I am the Strait of Hormuz I am the Strait of Hormuz A rise of wounded voices The downfall of arrogant foes The land of faithful souls The Strait of Hormuz Hormuz Hormuz Hormuz Hormuz
