A Part of Me

Tonight a tiny angel Sleeps on my knees She’s only five years old But her heart is bigger than the seas Tonight our house is filled With the sound of the angels' wings She has so many more friends In the skies than on the earth Oh my daughter You're my soul You're my calm in the storm All my dreams will come true ‘Cause of you You are a part of me And the light of my eyes is you When longing for Heaven I breathe in Your scent anew You’re a part of me And the light of my eyes is you When longing for Heaven I breathe in Your scent anew You shine like the moon And the stars revolve around you You dream of a holy sun rising And this dead world starting to bloom Oh my daughter You're my soul You're my calm in the storm All my dreams will come true ‘Cause of you You are a part of me And the light of my eyes is you When longing for Heaven I breathe in Your scent anew You’re a part of me And the light of my eyes is you When longing for Heaven I breathe in Your scent anew The angels are talking about you They know you have a mission on the earth Hard and unique I close my eyes praying for you And softly kiss your cheek You are a part of me And the light of my eyes is you When longing for Heaven I breathe in Your scent anew You’re a part of me And the light of my eyes is you When longing for Heaven I breathe in Your scent anew
